In the last several weeks we have received an uptick in odor complaints on particularly hot days.  When temperatures rise into the high 90s the winds tend to increase.  We believe the combination of very hot temperatures and wind are making the odor stronger and spreading it quicker.  While it is difficult to pinpoint an exact reason for the increase in odor complaints, the expanded and upgraded plant will feature state of the art odor control equipment, in addition to enclosing the influent screen that creates most of the odors.  We strongly believe the improvements in odor control and enclosures will eliminate most, if not all, of the odor complaints.

Construction on the plant expansion continues. We have received a lot of rain this summer and some concrete pours have been delayed.  Despite all the rain, we still plan on bringing the plant expansion and upgrade online by the end of the year.  As you can see in the picture below, significant construction progress continues.

We are pleased to report the plant is operating better than ever before and the quality of the effluent is excellent.
