Customers,

We are happy to report the bypass force main by the dog park has been certified and is in service as of Thursday June 3rd.  This will replace the 8” PVC force main from Lift Station A to the plant which has been the source of so many line ruptures.  The new line is a 12” HPPE force main, larger and stronger than the old line and should solve the unfortunate repeated issues experienced by Briar Chapel residents.

In addition, construction continues on schedule.

Last Thursday evening a thunderstorm moved through Briar Chapel and the irrigation system sustained at least two lightning strikes.  Subsequent investigation of the irrigation system revealed the motherboard in the main computer controlling the system was destroyed.  This means the central computer cannot communicate with the various controllers throughout the property so the system can only operate manually.  We have been operating the various zones manually to the best of our ability to try and get water to you landscaping, but manual operation is slow and tedious.

We anticipate the motherboard will be installed today, delivery delays have prevent an earlier repair of the system.  We have to install the motherboard to bring the system up and determine if there is additional damage to the system or controllers.  We plan to have the system fully operation by the end of the week, if not sooner.  We will keep you updated as we learn more.  Thank you in advance for your patience.
